Project Description

This mid-century Alliance home needed an updated kitchen and bathroom. The clients wanted lots of light and additional storage in the kitchen and a spa-like ambiance in the new bath.

We reconfigured the kitchen to expand the storage options with extra cabinets and a tall pantry, plus an island with a built-in microwave drawer. New stainless-steel appliances and a large-deep sink completed the transformation. We added modern glass three-pendant fixtures above the island and dining area, with a matching sconce over the sink for added lighting. An expanded window over the sink provides a view to the front of the property.

In the bath, we retiled the entire room with beige ceramic tile and added a new glass shower enclosure with built-in niche plus grab-bars and a fold-down seat for accessibility. A custom-built cabinet with a quartz countertop and sink added some much-needed storage, as did the dark wook open shelves. Finally, per the clients’ request, we added a glass-paneled door to enhance the bathroom lighting and provide an exit to the home’s backyard.
