Project Description

This project was a renovation of an Alliance (similar to an Eichler) located in San Rafael, CA.  The client bought the home as-is. I helped negotiate with the city to clear up existing violations and get necessary permits to create the new “garport” – a combination garage and carport. We brought the home up to current code and gave it a much-needed facelift.

The project is in an EA (Eichler-Alliance) zoning district, which exercises tight control over the materials, height and look of the new building. Working within the zoning regulations, we renovated this “diamond in the rough” to look even better than new, and the client is very happy with the home’s new look.
