Project Description
This lovely Craftsman home needed an update to make it more functional, comfortable and modern. It also needed a repair and update for a flood-damaged bathroom.
The client wanted an updated kitchen with more storage, and more light throughout the kitchen and dining areas and in the bedroom.
We reconfigured the kitchen layout to add buffet space and opened it to the backyard for indoor/outdoor entertaining. New fixtures, a quartz countertop and backsplash, and matte black stainless appliances gave the space a modern look, rounded off with a mixture of dark and light wood cabinetry and plenty of lighting.
The small dining room was given a light and airy feel with large windows opening on the backyard, and the bedroom was upgraded with more windows, reconfigured storage and closets and updated lighting.
The bathroom was reconfigured to add a soaking tub and all new fixtures. A radiant-heat floor, tiled niche in the shower, and a new concrete vanity completed the upgrade.
To increase comfort throughout the home, we added HVAC with a heat pump for eco-conscious heating and AC and added a new water heater.
